Hunting @ Early Morn

Early Morn Hunting Safari offers world-class hunting across vast plains, bushveld, and riverbeds where game roam freely.

Whether you are a seasoned hunter or experiencing Africa for the first time, with the guidance of our experienced professional hunters, every hunt is conducted safely, ethically, and with respect for the animals and environment.

We offer an impressive variety of plains game and trophy species. Whether you’re looking for a specific once-in-a lifetime trophy or simply the thrill of the hunt, we tailor each experience to your preferences.

TROPHIES
We take great pride in providing top-quality trophy preparation. Our team professionally skins and salts your trophies on-site and ensures they are delivered to a trusted taxidermist or dip-and-ship facility. All other costs for shipping, dipping, and mounting trophies are to be directly negotiated between the hunter and the taxidermist.
You can expect exceptional quality and seamless processing from field to final delivery.
At Early Morn, every trophy tells a story — and every hunt becomes a cherished memory.

RIFLES and AMMUNITION
Guests are welcome to bring their own rifles and equipment.
For those who prefer not to travel with firearms, we also offer a selection of high-quality rental rifles.
Available at the ranch in the following calibers:
.223 Rem
.243 Win
.308 Win
.30-06 Spr
2 x 300 Win Mag
.375 H&H Mag
Ammunition can be arranged on request, ensuring you have everything you need for a successful and comfortable hunt.

All firearms must be accompanied by the necessary airline and South African import documentation, which will be processed upon arrival, and hunters are responsible for ensuring all paperwork is correctly completed prior to travel.

If you plan to bring your own rifle, we recommend fitting it with a quality scope. A 3–9 variable scope is ideal for most hunting situations.

The majority of shots are taken at distances between 50 and 250 yards. Calibers ranging from .270 up to .300 Win Mag are well suited for most plains game. For buffalo, South African law requires a minimum caliber of .375.

We suggest bringing at least 60 rounds of ammunition per firearm. A hard gun case is required for air travel, while a soft case is highly practical for daily use while on safari.

BOW HUNTING
Early Morn welcomes serious and experienced bow hunters. Purpose-built, above-ground hides are positioned within effective shooting distance of waterholes and salt licks.
Hunters should bring two well-tuned bows. A minimum draw weight of 50 lbs is recommended, while larger antelope species require at least 70 lbs
